Anyone can lose weight by cutting calories or replacing meals with shakes, but this is losing “weight”, not losing “fat”. Losing weight means losing muscle, decreased bone mass, lost water and leaves you malnourished, hungry and with a low metabolism so that when you start eating again, you put the weight back straight back on again, and usually with even more weight.

Instead we want to aim for “fat” loss and the only way to do that is to get your hormones working optimally. When your hormones are working you can become a fat burning machine, because your body is nourished, your metabolism is firing and you are eating just the right amount of macronutrients to metabolise stored fat as energy.

Yes, you can actually lose fat eating delicious food and not feel hungry.

So how do we make this happen?

A little known fact is that you don’t lose weight to get healthy, you have to be healthy to lose weight. Before you can start burning that fat you have to get nutrients into your body and get rid of toxins. Your body simply cannot burn fat effectively when it is overwhelmed with trying to eliminate toxins and deal with substances it does not know what to do with.

  • We get you started by getting you to complete a food diary and we produce an analysis using our proprietary software to clearly see where you are now so that we know what changes you need to make to your diet. The first session includes a nutrition information session, meal plans, recipes and where to buy guides to make everything as practical as possible so it is easy to implement.
  • Then spend the first month or so getting used to your new food. It can take some time to integrate good nutritional practice into your lifestyle and we provide phone and email support to help you through the process. This time is more about what food you are eating rather than how much. In this first month you may or may not experience weight loss due to the elimination of toxins, and this weight loss may or may not plateau. But whatever happens, we guarantee you will be feeling better and have heaps more energy!

Every person is different and has their own unique metabolic weight loss formula and this is where we start to find yours!  We look at portion sizes, we look at how much carbohydrates, proteins and fats are right for you and we look at possible food sensitivities that may stop you losing weight. We also identify any foods that give you cravings and we find foods to instead stop your cravings. This phase helps you become more in tune with what food does to your body so that you will know how to eat right for you, for the rest of your life. We also may need to look at other factors such as sleep and stress which can contribute significantly to hormonal imbalances.

Remember it can take some time to get healthy enough to start metabolising fat. The key is to be patient and to remember that this is a life long journey to wellness, not a short term fix.
